Moderation

The classic mod toolkit, all in one place: kick, ban, softban, and timeout, plus a multi-tier warning system that escalates automatically once your thresholds are hit. Purge, channel locking, role and nickname management, and private mod notes are all built in. Every action is traceable through mod and nickname history, while the modlog streams everything to one channel. It also ships with a built-in scam-link filter and right-click Warn/Report options.

AutoMod filter

A customizable message-content filter that guards against banned words, regex patterns, invite links, arbitrary URLs, and excessive caps. The link filter comes with a domain whitelist, so it never flags your own server invites or trusted sites. Punishments don't live in a separate system — they flow into the same warn escalation as manual moderation, keeping enforcement consistent. It can be turned on and tuned in minutes with a handful of slash commands, no coding required. Every rule can also carry its own escalation ladder, run in a no-punishment dry-run mode while you're still tuning it, catch near-duplicate spam through fuzzy matching, and gate out brand-new accounts with a minimum account-age requirement.

Smart moderation helpers

Three smart systems quietly watch your server in the background to make your mod team's job easier. The rule-learner mines manually deleted messages plus warn/kick/ban reasons to suggest new AutoMod words, scoring each one by how many distinct users triggered it. The anomaly watcher measures every member against their own historical baseline, catching suspicious spikes without flooding your team with false alarms. The channel classifier gently flags when a message would fit another channel's topic better. None of these systems auto-punish — they only surface suggestions, leaving the final call to your moderators.

Anti-spam

A separate system from AutoMod's word filter — this one catches spam by rate and pattern, not by content. It measures message-rate bursts against an adaptive per-channel baseline, so a fast-moving fun channel doesn't get punished as harshly as a quiet info room. It also catches duplicate-text spam, mention spam, and URL floods. Thresholds, the punishment applied, and the log channel are all configurable, along with exempt roles.

Anti-Nuke protection

Watches Discord's audit log and reacts instantly when a single user mass-deletes channels or roles, or bans members, within a 60-second window. Protection is restart-safe — it re-queries the audit log instead of relying on in-memory state, so a bot restart never opens a window for a nuke attempt. Trusted admin accounts can be excluded from monitoring via a role whitelist. It's fully configured from the web dashboard, no slash commands needed.

Raid mode

Activates automatically when a suspicious number of members join within a short window, greeting new joiners with kick, timeout, or a full lockdown. Both the threshold and the response are configurable, and it can also be toggled manually if you're expecting a genuine influx of new members. In an emergency, a single command locks down the entire server, and unlocking it afterward is just as simple.

Server audit

Scores your live server against roughly 30 heuristic rules covering configuration, engagement, and security, then hands you a RICE-prioritized list of what to fix first. You can drill into the details, apply suggestions one at a time or all at once, or simply dismiss whatever doesn't apply. It's like having an experienced Discord admin walk through your server and write up what needs work.

Verification

A button-based verification gate that grants a role to new members with one click — but the protection starts before that. A separate join-requirements filter can demand a minimum account age and a set avatar, automatically kicking or banning anyone who doesn't qualify before the button is even shown. Channels can optionally stay hidden from unverified members until they clear the gate. Two layers in one system: a quick human check, plus automatic account filtering against bots and throwaway troll accounts.

Captcha verification

An alternative verification method alongside the button gate: new members get a random math problem in a modal and 3 tries to solve it. It filters out bots and automated accounts far more effectively than a simple button click, while still taking a real human only seconds to clear. Success grants the entry role, and repeated failure can optionally trigger an automatic kick.

Join Requirements

A pre-screening layer that runs before verification: set a minimum account age, require a profile picture, or other conditions, and anyone who doesn't qualify gets automatically kicked or moved into a pending-review role until staff checks them by hand. Ideal as a first line of defense against fresh troll accounts and mass bot influxes.

Command Permissions

Full control over who can use which command, where, and how often: role/channel/category restrictions, per-command cooldowns and daily quotas, one-click emergency lockdown, and saved permission presets. Every change is logged and reversible in one click. You can also choose exactly which of the bot's commands are even registered in your server, keeping the slash-command list lean instead of cluttered with things you'll never use.

Chat Assistant

Members can chat in natural language with an assistant in a chosen channel or thread — one that knows your server's context and has its own customizable persona. Protected by role bonuses, a safety filter, and a daily request cap so costs stay predictable.

Configuration Assistant (owner-facing)

Chat with an assistant right in the dashboard about almost anything in your server's setup — voice-activity tuning, bot status, configuration, directory listings, and dozens of other settings — and it proposes the exact change before touching anything. Every action still needs your explicit confirmation, and even multi-step batches are bundled into a single approval instead of a dozen separate prompts. Trust-sensitive changes, like handing out a moderator or admin role, come with an extra warning so you never grant power by accident. Like having an experienced admin sitting next to you, clicking on your behalf — but only when you say go.

Automated Server Builder

The same assistant can also reach directly into Discord: create or edit channels and roles, set channel permissions, add words to your AutoMod list, spin up giveaways, polls, forms, and achievements, and even write new auto-role rules — all with real, immediate effects on your server. Bulk tools let it create up to 20 channels or update permissions across 50 channels at once, so restructuring a server takes one conversation instead of an afternoon of clicking. Every action is still confirmation-gated and protected by automatic rollback if something goes wrong, and it will flatly refuse to hand out a role carrying dangerous admin-level permissions. Nothing is ever deleted — only created, edited, and configured.

Self-Healing Ticket System

A fast analysis step triages every ticket message (FAQ answer or technical issue), and a stronger analysis step diagnoses the technical ones with a concrete proposed fix — which staff approve or reject with one button. Automatic rollback protects your server if an applied fix fails.

Embed Builder + Auto-Generation

A visual embed editor with live preview, variable/emoji insertion, A/B testing, and scheduling — plus a generator that creates a full embed or a custom banner image from a single sentence, and can even suggest a style matching your server's branding. The same builder now powers every embed the bot posts: tickets, verification, join-requirements, captcha, starboard's Member of the Month, achievements, and suggestions all use it.

Mood Analytics

The system quietly analyzes the mood and main topics of conversations per channel, and flags it when tension suddenly spikes or an unexpected topic breaks out. It doesn't read private messages and never punishes automatically — just an early-warning system so moderators notice when something's off in time.

Leveling & ranks

Every message earns XP (protected from abuse with cooldowns and ignored channels/roles), which automatically converts into levels — with level-up announcements or DMs, plus level-based role rewards. Admins can fine-tune it with per-role or per-channel XP multipliers, and even make XP convert into coins. /rank and /rankcard produce a custom generated image card, while /leaderboard shows the server-wide top list. On top of that, /achievements and /top add a full achievement system and combined leaderboards across XP, voice time, message count, and engagement. The level-up announcement is itself a fully customizable, multi-block embed with a {rank_card} variable to place the rank card image anywhere inside it, and every element of the card — avatar, name, XP bar, badges — can be dragged into an exact position.

Welcome

Fully customizable welcome and goodbye messages, as plain text or a generated image card with your own uploadable background (compressed WEBP). DM welcomes, milestone celebrations (like every 100th member), and auto-role assignment on join — with previous roles restorable for returning members. Goodbye messages use the display name rather than a mention, so a departed member's message doesn't ping anyone. Every element of the welcome card — avatar, name, message text — can be freely repositioned with drag-and-drop, so the layout matches your server's style exactly.

Profiles & relationships

Every member gets a polished profile embed showing level, XP, coins, reputation, bio, and top roles in one place. A button-based marriage system lets members propose to (and divorce) each other, and daily reputation-giving lets them recognize one another. Anyone can also pick a custom hex-colored name via their own color role. A simple, community-building extra a lot of servers are missing.

Engagement analytics

Calculates a 0-100 engagement score for every member, weighting XP, voice time, reactions, tickets, and suggestions with time-decay so recent activity always counts more than old history. Weekly snapshots reveal history and trends, and the system automatically flags members who are drifting away — with an optional auto-DM before they disappear for good. One of the best tools for admins who want to know who needs attention before they leave.

Voice activity tracking

The bot precisely tracks how much time each member spends in voice channels, and it's crash-resilient — a bot restart never loses an in-progress session's data. You can let voice time earn XP too, so the talkers level up alongside the chatty typers, not just the message spammers. The bot also auto-deafens any other bots sitting in the same channel so they don't disrupt the conversation. Comes with its own leaderboard and an admin reset command.

Birthday tracker

Members can simply register their own birthday, and the bot automatically checks and posts happy-birthday messages in the configured channel every day. The birthday member can optionally get a temporary role for the day, so everyone can see who to congratulate. A small feature, but it does a lot for community vibe.

Starboard

The community highlights its own best messages: once a message collects enough star reactions, the bot automatically reposts it to a dedicated starboard channel with a live-updating star count. If interest fades and reactions drop back below the threshold, the post is automatically removed. Both the threshold and target channel are fully configurable, so every server can set its own bar for what counts as a "star post."

Achievements

A fixed roster of achievements automatically rewards members as they hit milestones — from their very first message through level milestones and daily streaks to wealth and total message count. Every unlock grants coins and/or XP, DMs the member, and can optionally be announced in a channel. It's a small but effective gamification layer that makes member progress visible.

Music playback

Play music in any voice channel from a YouTube search or a direct link, with full queue management: pause, skip, shuffle, loop, and volume control. Paste a Spotify link and the bot automatically recognizes it, looks up the track's title and artist, and plays the matching YouTube result.

Tickets

A persistent button lets members open a private ticket channel that only they and your support team can see. Staff can add or remove people from an open ticket with one command, and closing it can automatically save a transcript, DM the user, and request a star rating for the support they received. Idle tickets close themselves automatically, so stale channels never pile up. Category, support role, and log channel are all configurable through `/ticket`. The ticket-opening panel itself is a fully customizable embed built with the dashboard's embed builder, not fixed text.

Reaction & role menus

There are three ways to hand out self-assign roles: classic emoji reactions (react to get it, remove the reaction to lose it), modern button- or dropdown-based role menus (with an optional 'exclusive' mode that limits members to one role at a time), and button role messages built right from the web dashboard. The latter two are persistent, so they keep working seamlessly after a bot restart. You can create unlimited messages and menus, enough to build an entire onboarding flow around them.

Polls

Build proper polls with up to 25 options, anonymous or public voting, and the option to let members select more than one answer. The embed's buttons show live vote counts, so nobody needs to refresh anything. You can set an auto-close timer, plus a custom color or image to match your server's style, and `/poll results` pulls up the final tally anytime.

Suggestions

Members can submit ideas to your server with one command — optionally anonymous — and everyone else votes them up or down with buttons. Moderators review incoming suggestions in a dedicated channel, approving or denying each one with a reason. For anything more sensitive, `/report` sends an anonymous report straight to the mod team, no need to call it out in public.

Forms

Build your own application form with up to 5 questions — staff recruitment, whitelist requests, or anything that needs structured answers. Members fill it out in a modal window, either through a direct command or by clicking a persistent panel button, so nobody has to memorize commands. Submitted applications land in a review channel where moderators approve or deny with one click, optionally auto-granting a role on approval.

Temporary roles

Grant a role for a fixed window of time — a premium trial, an event-only role, a temporary mute — and stop tracking expiry dates yourself. A background loop constantly watches for expirations and pulls the role the moment it runs out, no admin follow-up needed. You can list who currently holds a temp role at any time, or revoke one early.

Auto role rules

Build your own rules engine on the web dashboard that automatically adds or removes roles on triggers like joining, earning another role, reacting to a message, hitting a message-count threshold, accumulated voice minutes, leveling up, or even inactivity. There's no slash command for this — you set up rules on the dashboard, and the bot evaluates them in real time plus a 5-minute background check for the slower triggers. It's enough to build a full multi-stage role progression without any manual admin work.

Temporary text channels

Spin up a text channel that disappears on its own once its lifetime expires or it goes quiet — perfect for an event, a shared project, or a quick team huddle. The bot watches inactivity and expiry automatically and archives or deletes the channel without any admin work, so unused, forgotten rooms never pile up.

Automation

AscensionBot runs eight background automation loops at once: refreshing live stat voice channels, sending birthday wishes, posting recurring scheduled messages, cleaning up expired temp roles, and watching for inactive members to warn or kick. It also automatically crowns a Member of the Week, sends your staff a weekly activity report, and gradually decays XP for long-inactive members. All of it is configured from one place with /schedule and its companion commands. This is the real under-the-hood automation layer that keeps your server running itself.

Auto-responder

This is a keyword-response engine with real depth: it recognizes exact, regex, or typo-tolerant fuzzy matches in what a member types. A single rule can hold multiple response variants that the bot picks between using weighted randomness, so replies never feel robotic. Channel and role filters let you scope exactly where and for whom a rule fires, and a per-rule cooldown protects the channel from spam. A built-in test command lets you preview how the bot would react to a message before going live.

Auto-thread

Choose which channels should have every new message automatically spun into its own thread. It's perfect for support or Q&A channels, where the conversation would otherwise turn unreadable within minutes. You enable or disable it per channel with a single command, and the list command shows at a glance where it's active.

Automated server setup

For a brand-new server or a full reorganization, one command builds the entire structure for you: roles, info/general/community/staff categories, stat voice channels, and a ready-made ticket panel. The same thing runs automatically the moment the bot joins a new server, so you get a working baseline structure with zero manual work. Check what's already configured anytime with the status command, and customize the quick links shown in the welcome message via the welcome_links subgroup.

AFK status

One command signals you're away, with an optional nickname prefix to make it obvious at a glance. While you're AFK, the bot automatically replies to anyone who mentions you, showing your reason and how long you've been gone. There's nothing to reset manually — your status clears itself the moment you post again.

Reminders

Set personal reminders straight from Discord, using either a simple relative duration ("2h", "3d") or an exact date-time. When it's due, the bot delivers your text via DM or in the same channel — no separate app or calendar needed. The list and cancel commands let you review and manage your scheduled reminders anytime.

Smart announcement timing

The bot continuously samples server presence every 10 minutes in the background to learn when the most members are online at once. From that data it recommends the best time for your announcement — or auto-schedules it for you. That means your important posts don't vanish during a quiet hour but actually reach the most members. The list and cancel commands let you review and manage scheduled announcements anytime.

Temp VC

Set up a "hub" voice channel, and from then on every member who joins it instantly gets their own personal temporary voice room. There's no manual creation or cleanup needed — the room disappears automatically once everyone has left. It's perfect for ad-hoc group chats without leaving your server littered with years-old, forgotten empty channels. The setup and status commands let you configure and check the system in seconds.

Soundboard

Admins upload their own sound clips from HTTPS URLs, naming and organizing them for the server. From there, anyone can play those clips into their own voice channel with a single command via FFmpeg — a button-press away from a laugh or a mood boost. It's perfect for meme sounds, intros, or community inside jokes. The list command lets anyone browse what sounds are available on the server.

Custom commands

Create your own server-specific commands and tags with placeholders, triggerable either via a ?prefix or the /cmd run command — perfect for FAQs, rules, or recurring text. On top of that, a more advanced auto-responder is also available, with fuzzy and regex matching and weighted random response variants that go well beyond simple exact-match triggers. Together the two cover everything from the simplest quick command to more complex, conditional automatic replies.

Extra automations

A bundle of smaller but genuinely useful automations in one place: it detects when someone bumps the server on Disboard and reminds you when the next bump is due, auto-publishes messages in your announcement channel, and rewards boosters with coins, a role, or VIP channel access. It also scheduled-cleans/purges designated channels, archives long-inactive channels into a chosen category, and cleans up idle temporary text channels once they expire. Each of these looks minor on its own, but together they take a lot of manual staff work off your plate.

Fun

A full games package under a single /fun command group: magic 8-ball predictions, coinflip, dice rolls, rock-paper-scissors against the bot, random picks from a list of options, text reverse or mocking spongebob-style, a ship compatibility test, and a quick yes/no poll. As a bonus, it also pulls random cat and dog images plus jokes from external APIs whenever the chat needs a little pick-me-up. No separate bot needed for fun commands — it's all bundled right into AscensionBot.

Member of the Week

Every week, the bot automatically crowns your most active member based on XP, messages sent, and other activity signals, hands them a unique role, and announces it in your chosen channel. The role automatically moves to the new winner the following week, keeping a visible spotlight on whoever is driving the community forward. Once you set the channel and role, it runs entirely on its own.

Economy

A full virtual economy: daily and weekly rewards, work, fishing, and team heists that others can jump into before the round resolves. Pay another member, or try to rob them. An auto-refreshing leaderboard shows the server's richest members, and the color shop lets anyone spend their coins on an exclusive role color. Admins can tune reward ranges and reset or adjust any member's balance on demand.

Giveaway

Launch a giveaway with a dedicated, persistent "Enter" button — no reaction spam, just a clean click. A background loop watches for giveaways about to end, posts them, and automatically rolls and announces a winner the moment time's up. If plans change, `/giveaway_end` can close one early, and `/giveaway_reroll` draws a fresh winner if the original didn't stick around to claim it. Great for community building without you having to babysit a timer at midnight.

Invite tracker

On every join, the bot diffs every invite code's use count against its last known state to figure out exactly which link was used — no guessing, no third-party dependency. `/invite stats` shows anyone's recruiting count, `/invite leaderboard` ranks your top inviters, and `/invite check` reveals who invited a specific member. Perfect for partner programs, recruitment contests, or just seeing where your community actually comes from.

Notifications

Connect your server to YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Reddit, a podcast feed, or any RSS/Atom feed, and the bot checks for new content every 5 minutes. The moment a video drops, a stream goes live, or a new episode or post appears, it auto-posts the announcement in your chosen channel — no manual sharing, no missed livestreams. Set up multiple sources in parallel with `/notify add`, and list or remove them whenever you like. Ideal for keeping your community up to date on their favorite creators without watching every platform yourself.

Translation

Got an international community? `/translate` turns any text into one of 10 languages, even without specifying the source — the bot figures out what it's translating from. Right-click any message and translate it instantly from the context menu, no copy-pasting or leaving Discord required. Translation runs on the free MyMemory API behind the scenes, so there's no API key and no setup — it just works.

Server backup

Save a snapshot of your server's roles and text channels with one command, and name it so you can find it later with `/backup list`. If something goes wrong — a bad automation, a misclick from an admin, or you just want a safety net before a big restructure — `/backup restore` brings the saved structure back. Restoring is always additive: it only creates, never deletes or overwrites anything that already exists, so you can experiment risk-free.

Logger

Point one log channel and the bot records everything happening on your server: deleted and edited messages (with built-in ghost-ping detection), joins and leaves, voice channel moves, bans and unbans, timeouts, boosts, role and channel creation or deletion, invite creation, and even bot command usage. It's the single place to trace what happened and when — for investigations, dispute resolution, or just staying transparent. `/logchannel set` and `/logchannel disable` turn it on or off in seconds.

Multi-language

The bot ships with fully localized slash commands in 5 languages: Hungarian, English, German, Spanish, French. Admins set the server's default language with `/locale`, and from then on replies, messages, and the categorized `/help` command all follow suit. It's not a surface-level translation layer — every feature, error message, and built-in string is natively supported across all 5 languages, so international communities feel right at home.

Statistics

The `/stats` command breaks down daily message volume and ranks your most active channels, looking back up to 30 days. No admin permission needed — anyone curious about where the action is can pull it up. It's a quick starting point for deciding which channel deserves more spotlight, which ones to merge, or where moderator presence is actually needed.

ARK server integration

If your community runs ARK: Survival Evolved/Ascended servers through AscensionStudio's GameManager, the bot lets you manage them straight from Discord. The /ark start, stop, and restart commands let anyone with access spin a server up or down without ever logging into GameManager, while /ark info shows live online/offline status, player count, ping, and uptime. A background monitor checks server state every 30 seconds, automatically renames a voice channel with a 🟢/🔴 indicator, and posts a notification embed whenever status changes. Access is fully tunable — guild admins always have full control, and you can grant other members permission per server and per action from the web panel. This is a niche feature built specifically for servers already linked to GameManager, not a general-purpose game server manager.

ARK RCON & Self-Hosted Servers

A direct RCON connection to your own ARK server, even outside GameManager — commands, player list, and live status right from Discord, alongside the existing GameManager integration.

Channel Lockdown

In an emergency, lock down every channel on the server from new messages with one click, each with its own reason and an automatic unlock timer. Whitelisted roles (e.g. staff) can always post, even during a full lockdown. Every channel's status (locked/open) is visible at a glance, with search to quickly find what you need on a large server.

Slowmode Manager

Set a per-channel slowmode rate (from 5 seconds to 6 hours) with one click, using quick presets or a custom value. A scheduled auto-revert makes sure a temporary slowdown doesn't stay on forever — it lasts exactly as long as you set, then reverts automatically.

Reputation System

Members can give each other reputation daily as a form of recognition, with a customizable daily limit, cooldown, and minimum account age to prevent abuse. Milestones (e.g. 10, 25, 50 reputation) trigger automatic announcements, and trust-tier badges unlock at set thresholds. Suspicious patterns (like a burst of reputation-giving in a short time) trigger an automatic alert and an optional temporary block.

Supporters (Donation Tracker)

Automatically detects when someone announces a donation in a designated channel (by keyword or any message) and grants the supporter role — or simply accepts a Discord Boost as support. PayPal and Revolut integration auto-detects real payments too, with customizable donation-amount buttons. Expiry reminders, a grace period, and coin/XP rewards are included.

Server Partnerships

Connect two servers with a unique partner code, then exchange promotional posts on each other's server using the full embed editor and a daily send limit. Manage incoming and outgoing partner requests in one place, accept or decline them, and revoke an existing partnership anytime. Send history shows which post reached which partner and when.

XP Channel Multipliers

Set a per-channel XP multiplier (from 0.1x to 10x), with ready-made presets (e.g. double-XP zone, XP-free channel, overnight or weekend boost). Can be restricted to a time window, specific days, excluded roles, and a daily cap — a live XP calculator lets you test how much XP a given setup would award before going live.

Modmail (Private Staff Messaging)

Members can DM the bot to reach staff, which automatically opens a private channel visible only to staff — nobody else sees the conversation. Block abusive users, save canned responses for common questions, and set an SLA timer to alert staff if a message has waited too long for a reply. Threads auto-close on inactivity, and stats show who on staff responds fastest.

Button Role Panel

A more modern alternative to reaction roles: place up to 25 buttons on a panel, each with its own label, emoji, and color, with exclusive groups (e.g. only one language selectable). Each button can require or ban a specific role, and set a minimum account age, cooldown, use limit, and expiry. Build the panel with a live Discord-style preview, then edit or duplicate it to another channel anytime.

News Feed

Uses the same scheduling engine as Automation, but tuned specifically for server news and announcements: one-time or recurring sends, a live test-send, and an instant DM preview. Starts with embed mode enabled by default so news always looks polished.

Rank Card Designer

Fully customize the visual /rank image: layout, size, gradient and background color, your own uploaded background, animation, badge style, and contrast checking. Every element can be freely positioned on a visual grid, with a live preview for any member — and you can even set a custom card design for one specific member.

Color Shop (Purchasable Name Color)

Members can buy their own custom name color with their own coins, at a customizable price, with an optional whitelist mode if you only want certain colors available. Manage temporary roles from a separate view, and see the server's richest members at a glance.

Delegated Admins

Share dashboard access with your staff without handing over full admin rights — set per-menu what each person can see or change (view-only / limited edit / full access). Every delegated admin's activity is logged, and the owner gets a chart-based report of who did what and when.

Webhook Manager
